Meet Ellie-Mae! YEAH!!!!!!!!Ellie-Mae has been adopted by a wonderful family!
Ellie-Mae is an 2 year old fox red female lab. The shelter had this beautiful girl on the euthanize list last December because she was pregnant and limping. Xrays showed BB’s where she was used for target practice and a back leg that was dislocated and allowed to heal out of socket. She gave birth to 12 beautiful healthy puppies that were all adopted out. FARR has since had Ellie-Mae’s back leg fixed with full FHO surgery and she’s using that leg wonderfully now. She’s been spayed and is up to date on all shots.
Ellie-Mae has a really big heart and loves all humans. She gets along great with her foster parents 2 kids, 4 dogs, & 4 cats. She is a bed snuggle bug, but also does great in her large crate. She is an avid swimmer and would stay in her fosters pool if she was allowed. She is still a puppy at heart and will chase any ball thrown. She would prefer someone with a large backyard where she can run. She loves going to the dog park where she plays and goes person to person for love and attention. She is house broken but, she wags her whole body instead of just her tail. So, the coffee table doesn’t have anything on it right now. LOL. She has a tendency to be very vocal in establishing her dominance when meeting new dogs that only lasts about 2 minutes, then it’s play, play, play. She LOVES to ride in the car. She still needs to learn that every time the front door opens, it does NOT mean we are going for a ride. Ellie-Mae is very special to us. She needs the perfect home. She is fostered in Palm Harbor with Danielle. If you are interested in adopting, please send an email to adoptfromFARR@yahoo.com with Ellie-Mae’s name in the subject line. Please include your name and return contact info. FARR – Florida Retriever Rescue is composed totally of volunteers working to save the lives of neglected and unwanted dogs. The $75 adoption fee helps to cover fees already spent on Spay, hip surgery, and shots.
