Dr. Rebecca Moretti is a native of western Pennsylvania. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), she worked as a veterinary technician for two years in Florida. Dr. Moretti earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University, graduating in 2006. She returned to Florida and began practicing emergency and general medicine at a 24-hour veterinary hospital. After 8 years of experience, Dr. Moretti joined the Animal Health Care Clinic team. With her practical approach, she believes quality and compassionate medical care can be made available to every pet with lower cost options.
Having set up and managed an in-house blood bank, Dr. Moretti's professional interests include blood banking and transfusion medicine, wound management, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine and preventive care.
Dr. Moretti enjoys spending time with her pets — a Border Collie mix named Luca and two cats, a tuxedo named Maestro and a tabby named Rocky. She has a fondness for Chow Chows after owning a Black Lab-Chow mix named Shadow who passed away at age 13. Her hobbies include watching movies, taking Luca to the dog park or dog beach, practicing yoga, dancing with her friends, watching live music, and trying new foods.
